Miss Micaela has come to Bella Ballet all the way from Pleasanton, California. She began her dance story at age 3, and hasn’t stopped dancing since! Miss Micaela is trained in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. She competed on her high school pom team and was a member of the dance team at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
She recently moved to Maryland and started teaching at Bella Ballet shortly after. She loves getting to help build confidence in our dancers and showing them to love dance as much as she does. We are so happy to have her as a part of our Bella Ballet Family!
I can honestly say, I love what I do. Bella Ballet is not a “job” for me, but a dream. Each day, I get the beautiful opportunity to teach the gift of dance to such incredible children; it is a true honor to do what I do. From teaching our students and seeing them achieve a combination that they have been working on, to the excitement getting ready to perform on stage it’s just a glimpse of the beauty of our studio and what I get to see on a daily basis. The ability to guide our students in dance and in life is such a powerful thing that we are blessed to be able to do. From giving a princess a snuggle if they had a bad day, to going to support a prince in their school talent show, we have created a Bella Ballet family that provides a circle of love and support.
We are not a corporate-owned dance school. We know each student, and have created a Bella family. This family helps to give our students a true feeling of acceptance, love, and empowerment while helping to teach the values of kindness, confidence, respect, and anti-bullying. We want our students to come to Bella Ballet, take a deep breath, and have dance be their outlet, their safe place, where they can open up, be themselves, and be proud.
Dancing with Miss Hope is like taking lessons from a real live Disney Princess! From the moment you enter her studio, Miss Hope is larger than life and her energy transfers to the little girls as excitement and love for dancing. Dance instruction is infused with make-believe play in which every girl is a “ballerina princess.” I catch myself peeking into the studio windows to witness the magical fun my daughter is experiencing. This is a fun part about having a little girl!
If you are looking for an amazing and confidence building dance studio for your little one, you have come to the right place! Hope is so great with the kids and so professional. She has an awesome ability to be gentle yet firm during class. The kids really respond to her and adore her. We are blessed to know Hope outside of the studio and I can honestly say she is a young woman who has an exciting future ahead of her! She is kind and giving and truly loves to teach.
My daughter just loves her and looks forward to her class each week. She has learned so much in short period of time and I even catch her practicing on her own. You can truly see how much Miss Hope cares for each of her students and adjusts her teaching style to fit each student’s needs. My daughter has just bloomed since she started Miss Hope’s ballet class.
Ms. MacDonald clearly has a way with young children. She is patient, energetic and obviously enjoys her profession. Ms. MacDonald took the time to focus on each child individually and provided them encouragement and direction in a manner that was highly conducive to learning and finding great pleasure in the activity. She is adept at translating ballet concepts and techniques into terms children can understand and appreciate. She uses a variety of educational techniques to demonstrate dance concepts, while addressing the multiple learning styles of the children (i.e. reading books, dressing-up, playing “pretend”).
Dance is a beautiful form of expressing one’s self. Watch your children develop their confidence, coordination, and graces (physical and social) through learning the art of ballet.
I’ve been a performer most my life. I took my first dance class and slipped on my first pair of pointe shoes at 3 years old. And it’s made me a true believer in the power of performance. I’m not just talking about that moment when you’re in the spotlight, but every...
