I’ve been a performer most my life. I took my first dance class and slipped on my first pair of pointe shoes at 3 years old. And it’s made me a true believer in the power of performance. I’m not just talking about that moment when you’re in the spotlight, but every step along the journey that leads to that moment. It starts with trying something new, following instructions, learning from your counterparts, having the resilience to push through when it gets hard and then getting a confidence boost when you get it down.
Over the past XX years, I have had the pleasure of sharing this joy with girls—little princesses—between the ages of XX and XX. Of all the accolades we have received, I am most proud of the self-esteem and confidence the Bella students exude as they embrace life.
For some time now, I’ve wanted to expand Bella Ballet’s reach and share our love for dance with those beyond the typical studio’s demographic. With that goal in mind, we have added several new classes that welcome everyone from babies to teens to young adults—and even young boys and dads—into the Bella family.
Here’s a bit about each new class:
Baby on Board. For moms and babies 3- to 22-months-old, this class is a low-impact hour inspired by hip-hop and designed to be a total body workout. With mom in her activewear and baby close by in a carrier or sling, it is guaranteed to be a special bonding experience.
Bella Baby. Creative movement gives babies 12- to 23-months-old an outlet for all their wiggles. Parents are most welcome to participate.
Bella Bros. An all-boys class offering hip-hop instruction specially designed for boys between the ages of 3 and 5. Our students learn hip-hop techniques, age-appropriate breakdancing, and fun choreography in a safe space for expression.
Bella Bod. For anyone 18 years and older, this class combines barre technique, strength building, and stretching with upbeat hip-hop cardio for a full body workout.
